What is
EDGE?
The Society of Women Engineers and Women in Computing at UC San Diego are collaborating to provide young girls with the Empowerment & Development for Girls in Engineering (EDGE) mentorship program throughout their high school career. Our mission is to encourage more girls to consider STEM-related careers in order to bridge the gender gap in engineering fields.
Participants will engage with an undergraduate/graduate mentor as well as attend various in-person workshops held at UCSD covering multiple engineering disciplines. Additionally, they will enjoy opportunities to network while ultimately building a community that fosters encouragement and diversity!
This program is available to incoming 9th - 12th graders in high school. Participants will be encouraged to continue with the program throughout their high school careers.
